What is Paying Cadet Form 2026 Session NUST & UET Seats - Last Date 10 July 2026

In this article, I will give a short brief about what is a paying cadet seat and how to avail it?

What is Paying Cadet (PC)?

The Paying Cadet (PC) Scheme is a special admission scheme for children (wards) of Pakistan Army personnel which includes wards of soldiers / JCOs as well as Officers. After selection, you will study in one of NUST's military affiliated colleges like MCS, EME, MCE etc. You will not be selected in Main Campus H12 based on PC seats. Once selected you will have reduced fees as compared to other students. You can also get selected in UET campuses based on PC seats. One important thing to note is that, if you are selected on Open Seats in NUST, you cannot avail admission based on PC seats.

If you qualify, you can get admission in:

  • NUST Military Engineering Colleges, or

  • Army reserved seats in selected Civil Engineering Universities (UETs).

How to Apply?

Step 1

Apply for the NUST Entry Test (NET).

Step 2

Apply for admission in at least TWO engineering disciplines in NUST.
This is compulsory.

Step 3

Fill the Paying Cadet application form. (You can get the form from any army help center)

Step 4

If you want UET reserved seats:

  • Apply separately to your provincial UET.

  • Send your UET application number and UET result to GHQ after the result is announced.

Step 5

Attach all required documents.

Step 6

Send the completed application to GHQ before the last date.


Who can apply?

You must:

  • Be a ward of eligible Army personnel.

  • Have at least 60% marks in Matric.

  • Have at least 60% marks in FSc.

  • Be unmarried.

  • Pass the NUST medical examination after selection.

Eligible educational backgrounds:

  • FSc Pre-Engineering

  • ICS (Maths + Physics + Computer Science)

  • FSc Pre-Medical (must complete the required condensed Mathematics course before admission)


Who cannot apply?

Some important ineligible cases include:

  • Less than 60% marks.

  • Appearing only in SAT/ACT (without NET).

  • Already selected as a PC/ASC in previous years.

  • Diploma holders.

  • Children of Civil Armed Forces (CAFs).

  • Candidates already selected in PMA, Navy or Air Force cadet schemes.

  • Medical unfitness.


Fee Concession / Scholarship

Army wards selected in:

  • NUST Military Colleges (MCE, MCS, EME)

  • PNEC

  • CAE

may receive:

  • Fee concession

  • Subsidy

  • Scholarship

Important:

Students admitted to NUST H-12 Islamabad or NUST Quetta Campus are NOT eligible for this concession under the PC Scheme.

Required Documents

Attach attested copies of:

  • Matric marks sheet

  • FSc Part-I & Part-II marks sheet (or equivalent)

  • Hope certificate (if applicable)

  • Parent's retirement/release documents (if applicable)

  • NOC (Military College students only)

  • CNIC/Form-B

  • NADRA Family Registration Certificate (FRC)

  • UET Entry Test Result

  • IBCC Equivalence Certificate (for O/A Level students)

  • Condensed Mathematics certificate (Pre-Medical students only)


Where to Submit?

Send the completed application by Pakistan Post Registered Mail (ONLY No other private couriers are accepted) to:

AG's Branch, W&R Directorate (WR-2A), GHQ, Rawalpindi (Write this address on your letter)

Private courier services (such as TCS or Leopard) and email submissions are not accepted.


Last Date

10 July 2026 (Friday) (As of now, kindly check the last date from other sources as well as it may change)


Important Things to Remember

  • NET is compulsory.

  • Apply in at least 2 engineering disciplines in NUST.

  • If applying for UET seats, you must also apply to your provincial UET separately.

  • Fill your discipline preferences carefully because they cannot normally be changed later.

  • Keep a photocopy of your application.

  • Send the form before the deadline.

  • Wrong or fake information can cancel your admission.

  • Keep W&R informed if your address or phone number changes.

  • Admission is purely based on merit.
